QUICK REFERENCE:

BRING YOUR ID - preferably a driver’s licence. Tools can only be released to paid members who have signed a liability waiver.

Who can use our tools?

Our tools may only be used by paid members, 18 years of age or older. For liability reasons only the member is to use the tools.

How may the tools be used?

Tool library tools are for personal projects only, and not for any trade, business, commercial, or rental purposes.

How long can I borrow and are there late fees?

Up to eight tools may be borrowed for one week. A late fine of $10 per item will be charged on tools not returned on time; you will receive a reminder to return tools the following library day.

Can I reserve tools in advance?

You can reserve tools online. Reserves must be picked up in the first hour of operation (6-7 pm on Thursdays) or they will be made available to others coming into the library.

If I am not finished with a tool, can I borrow it for another week?

You may request one, one-week extension by email to info@satls.org.  The borrowing period cannot be extended if someone else has already reserved the tool or the tool is already overdue.

 Loans cannot surpass 2 weeks.

What if I damage or lose a tool?

Each time tools are loaned and returned, volunteers inspect for damage and safety hazards. All tools are to be returned clean and in the same condition as they were issued, barring normal wear and tear. Members will be charged for any damage beyond normal wear and tear, or the loss of an item.
