VOLUNTEERING WITH THE ST. ALBERT TOOL LIBRARY & fix it cafes
All volunteers with the Tool Library and/or Fix it Cafes receive a free yearly membership after 20 hours of service.
The St. Albert Community Information and Volunteer Centre (CIVC) also posts our current volunteer openings for us. On their site, press Ctrl and F together, then type 'Tool Library' to sort through our postings.
Tool Library Volunteer Roles:
(scroll down for form)
Tool Library Operator - helps direct volunteers and runs the library two Thursdays out of the month
Tool Library Volunteer - works with other volunteers to keep tools in order and maintained, checking tools in and out of library, and keeping the facility neat and clean
Tool Library Liaison - promotes the tool library at community events
Tool Experts - lends tool knowledge to library visitors
Fix It Cafe Volunteer Fixers - if you know how to fix things, share that knowledge at our Fix It Cafes. Cafes happen 5 times a year (Jan, March, May, Sept and Nov), range from 2-4 hours long, and are on random days of the week. If you can do shoe repair, book binding, costume jewelry repair, small appliance repair, instrument maintenance, or have another fixing talent, we want to hear about it and find a way for you to share it!
